Businesses that provide useful products and services often struggle to convince their clients of their value and buying decisions often come down to cost.
So where might we add value?
Creating value for customers means you will provide them with a product or service worthy of their time, energy and money. To find value in your product or service customers need to perceive benefits that outweigh its cost. By increasing your benefits without increasing your cost can raise the value of your product or service for your customers.
What might these benefits be?
➡ Value can exist outside your product or service. Find ways you can make it easier for customers to buy from you.
➡ Customers are more likely to buy from brands that share the same morals and values they do.
➡ Is there an easy way fro customers to give feedback and share their experience of buying from you?
➡ Is there something unique about your product or service that your competitors can’t offer?
➡ Provide a joyful buying experience – buying decisions are often complex and a friendly face or empathetic ear is always welcome.
➡ Bring to the fore that your product or service is high quality and worth paying that little bit more for.
➡ All customers are not the same, nor should your marketing be aimed at just one version of your potential customer. Create profiles and adjust your dialogue to engage with a broader range of customers.
➡ In your social media / marketing – educate your customers – we are not all experts and need information to make right decisions.
➡ Provide enticing campaigns that bring your customers along with you – perhaps include a promotion offer to two.
➡ Reward loyal customers – they will be the first to refer your products and services to their friends.
➡ Provide a rich environment where customers can learn more about your brand, what events or causes you support, what drives your business – what makes you passionate.
